Leading offshore law firm Appleby further expanded its Hong Kong office by welcoming two new legal managers, Denise Tse, a Restructuring specialist and Zakariyah Lam, a Capital Markets and M&A specialist.
Denise specialises in restructuring and insolvency matters, with experience in cross-border bankruptcy recognition, winding-up and insolvency proceedings and related commercial litigation and arbitration in Hong Kong. She has extensive experience in advising both private and listed companies as well as directors and shareholders of these companies. Denise will be joining the Appleby Hong Kong restructuring team and primarily working with Hong Kong Managing Partner David Bulley and Partner Lorinda Peasland.
Zakariyah specialises in capital markets and public and private M&A, as well as public company regulatory and compliance issues. Zakariyah will be joining the Appleby Hong Kong corporate team and primarily working with Partner Vincent Chan.
Both Denise and Zakariyah are fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, which enables them to work closely with our wider global team and provide advice on Bermuda, BVI and Cayman Islands law matters in the Asia time zone.
David commented “I am delighted to have Denise and Zakariyah joining the Appleby Corporate and Restructuring teams. Following the recent arrival of Lorinda Peasland and on the back of what will be a record financial year for Hong Kong which has allowed us to substantially grow our office and make internal promotions, these appointments demonstrate our continuing commitment to growing the Appleby Hong Kong office and I look forward to working with the expanded team as we continue to focus on providing a first-class service to our clients.”
