A new startup, Reglex, has launched with the aim of helping compliance professionals in Asia. The company’s mission is to democratise compliance so compliance teams across Asia can access critical information, control their workflows and be empowered so they can reach their full potential.
Founder Kate Wombell, a 30-year-plus compliance veteran with regulators and international banks shared, “I am chuffed that we have launched our site, especially the enforcement database. I sincerely believe compliance officers will find many uses that will help with their day-to-day jobs. The enforcement database will shave off so much time that’s spent hunting for relevant facts, which in turn will provide control over training and will also act as a useful steer towards risk management and reporting practices”.
With offices in Hong Kong and Singapore, Reglex is well-positioned to help companies in the region manage their compliance needs.
During phase 1, an enforcement database and curated channels will be available to subscribers.
The enforcement database will include consolidated enforcement decisions by regulators in Hong Kong and Singapore into one easily searchable database to give teams ease of access to critical data. With this access to appropriate laws and guidance and links, maintained by the regulators, to watch lists and cold shoulder orders, it will save users time and resources searching and dissecting this information.
The first release will also cover enforcement notices from Singapore and Hong Kong regulators. Future releases will include additional jurisdictions. Our near-term roadmap is to add Australia.
Reglex will also provide general newsfeeds, bespoke enforcement news to general regulatory resources to a centralised hub. To give users different perspectives, thought-provoking articles and podcasts will be curated to further the knowledge and dialogues that will empower compliance advocates to stay up to date with market movements and trends.
