Eversheds Sutherland has appointed Mark Hughes as Litigation Partner within its Hong Kong office.
Mark joins with a strong reputation for managing complex, high-stakes litigation in the Hong Kong and wider-APAC market. He also has significant experience across international arbitration, proceedings before specialist tribunals, and in internal investigations and local and cross-border investigations by criminal and regulatory authorities.
Mark will continue to grow his successful arbitration and global disputes practice from Eversheds Sutherland’s global platform. He is dual qualified to practice in England and Wales and Hong Kong, and arrives from Slaughter and May where he trained, qualifying in London in 2003. He has led Slaughter and May’s disputes practice in Asia, since arriving in Hong Kong in 2010.
Eversheds Sutherland’s litigation and disputes group in Hong Kong now boasts an 18-strong team, and Mark’s appointment will continue to build on the practice’s already strong reputation for handling complex, high-value international mandates.
