On February 20, 2021, Asian Legal Business published its 2021 China top 15 Litigators awards and JunHe partner Mr. HUANG, Rongnan was listed. Mr. Huang has won many awards over the years, including being named as a Chambers Asia Pacific Band 1 Lawyer for Media & Entertainment in 2020 and 2021. He has been awarded the title of a Shanghai Model Worker, Fourth Best Oriental Lawyer, Top 10 Youths in Shanghai Judicial Sector and other honorary titles. He also won a third class merit award at the Ministry of Justice.
In 1977, Mr. Huang graduated from Fudan University with a Bachelor of Laws. He studied abroad at the University of Manchester and obtained a Master of Laws in International Business Law in 2001. In 2015, Mr. Huang obtained a Doctorate in International Law (International Commercial Dispute Resolution) at the East China University of Political Science and Law. With more than 22 years of legal practice, Mr. Huang is experienced in the areas of litigation and arbitration, particularly involving disputes in the cultural and media areas. He is experienced in commercial disputes involving foreign elements as well as disputes over company shares and equity interests. Mr. Huang has represented clients in many well-known and significant litigation cases covering areas such as foreign investment, intellectual property, unfair competition, company shares and equity interests, real estate and construction. In addition, he has assisted a number of banks and other financial institutions in cases involving financial disputes and has secured positive results for his clients.
Mr. Huang is adept at litigation and arbitration strategies and is well regarded by judges and clients for his eloquence during proceedings. Mr. Huang is currently a council member of the Shanghai Bar Association, a Director of the Plan and Rule Commission and the Culture and Media Studies Commission under the Shanghai Bar Association, and Arbitrator for the Shanghai International Arbitration Commission and the Shanghai Arbitration Commission. He also serves as a member of the Standing Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference of Xuhui District, Shanghai, and is vice chairman of the Youth Federation of Xuhui District in Shanghai.
