The Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan initiated a new draft law, re-introducing the obligatory environmental audit procedure. Facility operators of the I category will be obliged to undergo a mandatory environmental audit in case they systematically exceed the established emission level (at least twice a year or more).

Ayana is a Partner at Unicase and a Head of Tashkent office. Ms Unerbayeva is a member of Kazakhstan Bar and Kazakhstan Lawyers’ Associations, with a brilliant LLM in Banking and Financial Law from Boston University, MA, and an outstanding LLB from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
