Dianping and Meituan, two of China's major internet platforms, announced on October 8, 2015, a strategic cooperation between the two companies. The two companies have jointly established a new company that is expected to be the leading online to offline (O2O) platform in China. This platform may be valued at over US$15 billion according to recognized international media sources.
Dianping provides independent consumer reviews on local services and is China's largest O2O platform for urban and lifestyle services with over 200 million accumulated users.
