Bytedance, China's leading AI-powered content platform, and Musical.ly, one of the world's most popular mobile lip-sync platforms, have announced on 10 November 2017 that they have signed an agreement for Bytedance to acquire Musical.ly.
Skadden is representing Bytedance in its transaction with Musical.ly. The Skadden core team includes partners Julie Gao and Will Cai, counsel Yuting Wu and associate Flora Lu.
Skadden is also representing Bytedance in its acquisition of News Republic, a global mobile news aggregating service operator from Cheetah Mobile. The transaction was announced on 10 November 2017. The Skadden team was led by partner Julie Gao and counsel Olivia Odell.
