Linklaters has acted as international counsel to the placement agent on Bogd Bank’s successful US$25m tap issuance of 2029 senior notes, bringing the aggregate principal amount of the notes to US$100m.
Bogd Bank is the first publicly listed bank on the Mongolian Stock Exchange. The bank specialises in small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) and retail banking, with a growing role in digital banking innovation and supporting Mongolia’s green transition. The proceeds of the issuance are expected to support the bank’s continued funding diversification and business growth.
The transaction was placed with international institutional investors, including asset managers across Europe and Asia, and demonstrates continued investor interest in Bogd Bank and Mongolian financial institution credit generally. The additional issuance also reflects Bogd Bank’s ability to access the international debt capital markets shortly after its debut issuance.
