Skadden is advising China Energy Company Limited (CEFC China), one of China's largest private companies, in its acquisition of a 19.9% equity interest in Cowen Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: COWN), a diversified financial services firm, for an aggregate purchase price of US$100 million and a per share price of US$18. Skadden is also advising CEFC China on providing Cowen with US$175 million debt financing. The deal was announced on March 29, 2017.
